Karnataka Government has increased engineering and medical course fees.
Engineering fees:
Karnataka Government has increased engineering courses by up to 8%. Last week private colleges demanded Karnataka government to increase the fees by 10 percent. The meeting was held between department officials and private colleges. In the meeting, it was decided to increase the fees 8% higher than last year.
The engineering fee for the 2018-19 academic year is ₹53,460 and ₹59,400 Private Colleges to get seats under government quota the fee.
Medical Fee:
The fee for the government medical seat is quietly raised three times higher than private medical colleges. Even if rank holders get free seats, they still have to pay fees in government quota. Till now government medical fees was just ₹80,000. A student could have completed his MBBS within ₹80,000. But now the state medical education department has increased the fees for government seats from this year ₹16,700 to ₹50,000.
